Research

Our research starts from the traditional fields of biology, biophysics, chemistry, and material science to synergistically tackle the challenges and opportunities of biological processes as well as inspire new approaches and methods in material design, health and computing.
Concreatly, together we aim to, on one hand, develop new methods to understand the fundamental molecular principles of how molecular networks shape cellular life and organization while, on the other, to learn from the emerging properties of biological systems to design sustainable, active and bio-mimetic materials, to suggest new approaches to interfere with disease and even inspire new computational architectures.
